I’ve used Chuck Balzer to build then update my entire IT infrastructure at all 4 skilled nursing facilities and our corporate office. We had 1 server, a few PCs spread throughout the facilities and used manual charting for records and billing. New government regulations required us to upgrade to an electronic solution. Mr. Balzer reviewed the business model and government requirements then presented options that included an architecture model with multiple servers tying our upgraded PCs and software together with a dependable backup solution, external firewall and internal security. Our staff can now use VPN and electronic time-tracking and charting software. I am so grateful that 3 years ago I found Chuck and his company Balzer Computer Consulting. We were just beginning to investigate utilizing an Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. Our infrastructure, software and hardware would not support even the most basic EHR. Chuck was instrumental in designing our IT program and infrastructure to prepare us for this endeavor.
